12th day of Film Work

In our last lesson before half term. We added a shot of someone texting to add one more shot to our opening to give it more substance. We also shortened the entire piece to give it room after we've finished to add my original idea. Which was to add the more conventional dialogue at the end of the introduction between the three main charachters. We ended our lesson finishing off a few transitions and my goal is too fully finish the music piece over half term in perfect timing with the work we have up to this point.

11th day of Film Work

We had a very successful last night shooting the club and bar scenes. We originally were going to shoot it in London but we agreed it would be more practical for the three of us to shoot it in Cambridge, rather than me doing it alone in London. We took a lot of footage and spent the whole day editing what we wanted to add to our sequence and what was redundant We also managed to add in a few transitions and titles to the piece giving us our first clear view of ou fully shot film introduction.

10th day of Film Work

Today we worked really well collectively and managed to change the format of our piece to fit iMovie which fits in really well into our piece so far. We are still desperate to film the club and bar scenes which is tonight. We tampered more with the titles and transitions on the tube sequence as we wanted to make it as appealing as possible to the audience as their is no dialogue beetween charachters to entise the audience.



The music is having some technical problems as my laptop is broken. On the contrary however, hopefully we will film the clubs before half term and I will work out the finalsation of the music over the break.

9th Day of Film Work

Over the weekend I successfully re-shot my tube shots. Which I am quite pleased with as I had a better idea of how the sequence would look rather than before when my only view was the one of my storyboard. My group and I also began adding the titles to the underground sequence a long with cuts and fades which looks really good. We also added transitions to other scenes however a lot of the beginning can't really be tweeked until we have the club shots which is our main priority this week to finish our first draft of filming.

8th Day of Film Work

Last night Awwal and I went to do some filming. However due to our failure of forward thinking, We could no capture any footage which would convey the image of a night life. The clubs were empty and there were no queues anywhere. Despite this setback I've made some great progress in making the music for the piece. My idea is to have a fast paced and exciting to song to help give density to our project. My idea is to use the song 'Ooh Wee' by Mark Ronson as a template to build upon.

7th Day of Film Work

Today we progressed massively with our stills collage. We didn't quite have the CGI to create my original effect yet we changed it to our best ability. We managed to cut it into two different pieces and put them together. Yet we are still struggling to transfer what we've done into iMovie. We've also managed to add some titles to our piece. The stills are really helping to give the film a sense of the romantic comedy genre. Especially due to the mis-en-scene in the piece. We are filming the club and bar scenes today. Before we move on to the Music, which I am personally creating and producing, and the whole group starts the titleling.

6th day of Film Work

Today my group and I struggled with making our stills into a collage video format. As stated earlier we wanted to obtain the same feel as the 'How I met your mother' introductory piece with a movement. However today was a frustrating day where we struggled technically. Finally we managed to make a collage in Idvd. However we need to change a lot of factors as it isn't matching my original idea of a London night life. And the movement isn't quite where it should be but we're altering it tommorow.
